I think false reviews are unethical.. but paying to be on the top of the list is no big deal… Look at Google. Many people still do not realize the difference between sponsored links and ranked results.

Had a hosting with hostmonster – apparently our 15mb mysql database took up too much cpu – even though it was a standard openx install… they shut down the site without warning or contact until after the fact on a Sunday night at 6pm and after 40 minutes on hold said there was no way to get it back online until 8am the next morning… i begged to get the cpanel and ftp back which they did so i could go somewhere else.
